Woo.

Abita in cans?!?! Not sure how I feel about this. Seems like eating a shrimp poboy on wheat bread — just totally wrong.

  • “One’s first view of Machu Picchu is a bit like seeing the Mona Lisa after staring for years at a da Vinci refrigerator magnet. You know exactly what to expect, and at the same time, can’t quite believe that the real thing exceeds the hype.”

Say what you will about the south, but they certainly know something about drama and just pours out of them. From the way they stretch their vowels to the way they build their homes.

  • Merry Christmas!

    Merry Christmas!

  • [Flash 10 is required to watch video]

Christmas came early for Jackson this year in the form of an adorable alligator stuffed animal from a dear friend. I must say I’m pretty proud of my spaniel pup for his unwrapping job.

  • My office is starting to look like my closet. What can I say - I like to have options (/ I like to have UGGS on hand for the last 2 hours of my 12 hour work day!)

  • Shoshanna's Jewelry Line for QVC

Although emails from stores / designers often clog up my inbox, I have to say they also lead to some good finds. Case and point: Shoshanna’s costume (read: affordable) jewelry line for QVC. I’m very interested in seeing what they’ve come up with!

  • I just got the Fall catalog in the mail for the L.L. Bean Signature line, which they launched earlier this year. I have to say I’m pretty impressed. While some of the looks are a little too stodgy for me, they had some key pieces that would make a great additions to a wardrobe. My picks:
Pebbled Leather Bowling Bag
Leather High Heel Tall Boot
Stretch Cord Skinny Pant

  • While my Lilly obsession has dwindled a bit since college, I’ve had Lilly hanging in my closet for well over a decade and I still browse their Summer and Spring lines for just the right sundress. When I got the email yesterday exclaiming that they had a new sorority line I anxiously clicked through to the website to see what they had come up with for my very own Chi Omega. To my dismay there was no Chi O print! My sorority was not represented, along with some other large national sororities as well (think Theta and Pi Phi). Shame on you Lilly - don’t you know there’s nothing worse than upsetting sorority girls?
Note: If you’re a past or present DZ, TriDelt, KD or Kappa enjoy the adorable prints Lilly has come up with!

  • How happy am I that Mad Men is back? Extremely.
Love love love these dresses. I think I was born a few decades too late.

quarterlifecoe:

Betty, Peggy, Joan - So nice to see you all again. What do you have in store for us this go around, pray tell? A lot of tension in the Mad Men season 4 opener last night. I can’t wait to see how this plays out…and how these new and altered characters start to unfold. It’s here!
